Jireh, He is enough.
Jireh by Maverick City Music is the inspiration behind the Pregnancy Loss and Rainbow Baby Line, launching April 29 on Awaken Koselig. Below are the lyrics for the first and second verses and chorus:
Although I have never experienced pregnancy loss personally, I know many women who have, and my heart aches for them and the pain they go through even years after they lose their child. There are so many products on the market celebrating Rainbow Babies, and I think thatβs amazing! But there are hardly any products on the market that help a mom through her grief when sheβs in the thick of it, struggling to see which way is up and show up for the rest of her family. And that is where the desire to create this line came from.
These products are for her, and are meant to be a beacon of hope for her in the middle of her grief. Jireh means the God who Provides and I really wanted this line to be a reminder to her that God is big enough, strong enough, to provide for her in the middle of her pain.
That doesnβt mean He will take her pain away. It doesnβt mean that everything will magically get better overnight. But God as Provider means that He will provide a safe haven for her to land when her grief becomes too heavy. He will provide for her family as she struggles to do daily tasks in her grief. And He will fill in the gaps of what she misses while she heals. He will always be there for her because His love for her is unending and unfailing.
For many items in this line, youβll notice a sparrow and a lily adorning Jireh. These images are to represent Matthew 6:25-34 where Jesus talks about the Father providing food for the sparrow and clothes for the lilies of the field. And if the Father provides what the birds of the air and the flowers of the field need, how much more will He provide for us who He loves so much more.
This world is broken and there will always be pain that we face, and struggles we must overcome. But the love of the Father for His children is endless and He will ALWAYS provide a way to comfort and support His children if they are willing to run to Him.
If you have experienced pregnancy loss, my heart aches for you. If you know someone who has experienced pregnancy loss, send a prayer up on their behalf because theyβre probably having a hard time even if itβs not apparent on the outside. But my prayer is that each of these items helps her to heal and points her back to fact that God is enough to sustain her and will help to heal her in the midst of her struggle.
